Meet Amy Collett
Amy’s love for photography began on her family farm in Ohio, where she delighted in capturing playful kittens and mud-rolling pigs with her camera. That childhood passion grew stronger through college, leading her to invest in her first manual 35mm camera and a 200mm telephoto lens.
The Great Outdoors
After graduation, Amy’s journey took her to Wyoming, where her career as a wildlife biologist opened doors to incredible photographic opportunities. Working in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, the National Elk Refuge, and the Wyoming Game & Fish Department allowed her to immerse herself in the natural world, camera always in hand. In 2005, she officially launched Branding Images Photography, capturing weddings and portraits in Jackson for over 15 years while continuing to explore and photograph the vast beauty of the West. The couple in the photo with Amy and Chris, is Lisa and Mark who are friends that became family. Mark was Amy’s supervisor at Wyoming Game & Fish and is an amazing photographer. He mentored Amy over the years to improve her talent.
New Paths
Amy’s deep admiration for our planet and its wildlife is evident in every image she creates. Her photography tells a story of nature’s wonder, offering glimpses into the untamed world through her lens. In May 2021, Amy and her husband embarked on a new adventure, relocating to the Kalispell, Montana area. Just two months later, they proudly opened Mountain Vibes Gallery & Gifts, bringing Amy’s passion for photography and unique finds to life.
